Maria and Brent’s Wedding

Being close to nature and having a simple yet sophisticated wedding were two priorities for Maria and Brent, and they got everything they wished for when the big day arrived. Their Oak Brook Bath and Tennis wedding was visually stunning from start to finish. Maria and Brent incorporated so many one-of-a-kind elements into their wedding, including one I particularly enjoyed! Maria chose to do a “first look” with her father before the ceremony. The tears of joy in her parent’s eyes and meaningful moments they exchanged were among the highlights of the day.

If you follow my work, then you know I live to capture candid images bursting with life and raw emotion. I strive to bring this unique heartfelt style of photography to every wedding I photograph, but at some weddings the creative process is effortless. I met Maria and Brent while photographing Laura and Derek’s wedding exactly one year before. Maria and Laura are sisters, and I had a ball photographing their jubilant family during Laura’s wedding. Maria and Laura’s family are deeply steeped in tradition; new and old, and they each found the perfect life partner to carry on those ideals. For example, the sisters got married on the same day one year apart. They also chose to wear the same beautiful cathedral-length veil with an intricate lace design and will pass it on to their children as a new family tradition.

An Outdoor Oak Brook Bath and Tennis Wedding Ceremony

The ceremony, as you can see from the images, belongs on of the front page of Bride Magazine. It took place in front of a lake with the couple surrounded by their family and friends. Afterward, the party kicked off and the wedding party, their friends and families danced late into the night under the moon and string lights; the perfect picture of a fairytale.

Maria and Brent, thank you so much for inviting us to photograph your wedding. It was truly an honor to capture your day!
