Downtown Long Grove Engagement Session | Ginevra and Danny

The hearts on the benches in downtown Long Grove offer a great photo opportunity for an engagement session,

I’m ecstatic to share Ginevra and Danny’s engagement session I had the opportunity to photograph in downtown Long Grove. Being their photographer felt less like a job and more like hanging out with old pals. Their energy, their connection – it’s all real and unfiltered. Every snapshot I captured was a testament to their love story, and I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out.
I want to remark that the setting for this engagement appeared to be something out of a storybook. Long Grove is a historic village that offers a backdrop of beautiful fountains, cobblestone streets, and quaint stores. The golden hour sunlight glowed perfectly for photos, and it seemed to enchant everything in its path. Perfect setting, perfect lighting, perfect weather…what more could we ask for?

The Proposal

These two lovebirds first crossed paths at a college Super Bowl bash back in 2019. Fate had its way, and their connection was instant. But what truly sold them on each other? The fact that being themselves came so effortlessly. They just fit like two puzzle pieces from the get-go.
Fast forward to the proposal, and Danny takes the crown for creativity and adaptability. He’d planned this amazing light show in Chicago, but nature had other plans. Snowstorm alert! No worries, though. Danny pivoted like a champ, treated Ginevra to a cozy dinner, and then popped the question in the middle of a beautiful Chicago snowstorm. Talk about magical chaos!

Long Grove Engagement Photos

As Ginevra and Danny’s big day approaches, I’m reminded of why I fell in love with photography in the first place. It’s about capturing stolen glances, shared laughter, and those unspoken connections. Their engagement photos in downtown Long Grove are filled with laughter, love, and a touch of magic.
This fall, they’re all set to tie the knot at Loews Hotel Rosemont. Can we just take a moment to imagine the elegance and excitement of that?
Here’s to Ginevra and Danny, the architects of their own fairy tale, and to the exciting chapters that lie ahead. Keep those tissues handy because their journey is going to be one for the books!
