Nicole and Yossef’s Wedding

Downtown Chicago is the region’s go-to locale for sumptuous, elegant weddings, and this Drake Hotel Chicago wedding makes it easy to see why so many couples choose city venues. Nicole and Yossef played on the venue’s old-world elegance and worked with JDetailed Events to plan a modern yet timeless event with gorgeous accents and colors.

Nicole and her bridesmaids spent the morning getting ready at The Princess Diana Suite, while Yossef hung out with his groomsmen in the Drake room. They opted for a first look, and I’m so happy they did! The Drake Hotel’s gorgeous gazebo overlooking Lake Michigan is breathtaking in itself, and resulted in some incredible images I know they’ll cherish forever.

I first met Nicole and Yossef at Kristin and Joe’s wedding last year. I knew from that moment that they will be an absolute pleasure to work with. It was a privilege to have the opportunity to capture their evident passion and joy. Nicole and Yossef were married during a heartfelt ceremony at St. Joseph’s Church in Chicago. Spirits were high after the ceremony, and their guests literally danced the night away at the Drake Hotel afterward.

An elegant reception at the Gold Coast Room at The Drake in Chicago.

The Gold Coast Room was the PERFECT setting for their exquisite gowns and tuxedos, sumptuous decor and animated guests. As you can see from the images, Nicole and Yossef couldn’t have chosen a more fitting venue than the Sinatra era Drake Hotel. The dance floor was packed until 11:30 pm! The couple had the brilliant idea to split up the reception after the main event. They created a club environment for younger guests in the Grand Ballroom and arranged jazz orchestra for older ones in the French Room.

I headed home around 1:30 am and had big plans for the next day–a JLo concert at the United Center. Amazingly, JLo asked for a volunteer to come on stage during the show and guess who it was?! Yossef! I’m sure Nicole enjoyed watching as much as I did!! 🙂 It was such a fun ending to one of the best weekends!!

Nicole and Yossef – Congratulations! I’m so happy to see how much joy you bring each other. Enjoy the beautiful journey ahead of you!
