An Emotional First Look on the Rooftop at Viceroy Chicago
The day began with Brooke and Walt getting ready for their wedding day in Viceroy’s suites, overlooking the Chicago skyline. Laughter and joy filled the rooms as they prepared for their big day. They opted for a first look on the rooftop, a moment filled with raw emotion and beauty. The cityscape provided the perfect setting for this intimate moment, captured in a series of breathtaking photographs. Their emotional exchange of vows was a truly unforgettable experience.
Downtown Chicago Wedding Photos
Before their ceremony, we ventured to the Wrigley Building for some classic downtown Chicago photos. Brooke was absolutely radiant in her gown, complete with a statement bow on the back, while Walt looked dashing in his dark green velvet tuxedo jacket with black lapels (really awesome in person too). Their outfits were a total showstopper, and the photos came out amazing! Brooke and Walt looked like actual movie stars in every shot. I’m convinced they were famous in a past life. 😉
A Ceremony Steeped in Tradition at Assumption Catholic Church
The couple got married in the beautiful Assumption Catholic Church, a place with deep significance for Brooke. It was the very church where her great-grandparents had also tied the knot. Though photography was limited to specific areas, we managed to capture the essence of their love and the beauty of the ceremony. With a cheer and a kiss, they exited the church as husband and wife, ready to celebrate their new beginning.
An Unforgettable Wedding Reception at Viceroy Chicago
After a quick stop to capture the city’s magic at the iconic LaSalle Street Bridge at sunset, we headed back to the Viceroy to kick off the wedding reception. The Cedar Ballroom looked absolutely gorgeous and the band brought the energy, getting everyone out on the dance floor for an East Coast-style reception to remember!
The couple’s first dance was a showstopper, earning straight 10s from Walt’s family table. The night continued with joyful dancing, heartfelt toasts, and an atmosphere of celebration that only a couple as wonderful as Brooke and Walt could inspire. The night ended with a series of stunning night portraits against the city skyline.
