I’ve repeated it countless times, and I’ll keep on saying it: Cantigny Park is hands down one of the top spots for a fall engagement session in the suburbs of Chicago. I’m super stoked to give you a sneak peek into Jenna and Eric’s fall session with their cute and well-behaved golden retriever puppy, Louie, who totally upped the adorable factor.
Jenna and Eric’s story is as genuine as it gets. They met through Jenna’s brother, Erik, who coincidentally shares the same name as Eric. Jenna had heard of Eric but never had the chance to get to know him until one day at the gym. Their initial connection was lighthearted – “Hey, aren’t you friends with my brother?” – but it sparked something beautiful. As they crossed paths more often, conversations grew longer, and text messages became frequent. Eventually, Eric asked Jenna to hang out, and the rest, as they say, is history.
The Proposal
Ring shopping in January had Jenna eagerly anticipating a proposal. However, Eric still managed to surprise her with a heartfelt engagement.
They had planned a weekend getaway to Eric’s family lake house. As the weekend unfolded, Jenna found herself on the pier at sunset, holding their puppy, Louie. Eric called for her help out on the boat. Little did Jenna know, it was the moment she had been waiting for. With the sun painting the sky in shades of orange and pink, Eric dropped to one knee and asked the most important question of his life. Jenna, overwhelmed with happiness, said yes, and the cheers of Eric’s family, friends, and lake house neighbors filled the air.
Jenna and Eric’s Fall Engagement at Cantigny Park
We made a pit stop at Herrick Lake Forest Preserve to snap some shots with Louie. It was the perfect chance to freeze-frame the natural, limitless affection between Jenna, Eric, and their four-legged buddy against the fall scenery.
These two are just perfect together, and I couldn’t be happier that they found each other. Their fall engagement photos at Cantigny Park really show their love, and we wish them a lifetime full of happiness. Here’s to a love story as vibrant as the fall backdrop at Cantigny Park.
