I had the pleasure of working with Gwen and Sam at Lincoln Park for their engagement photos, and let me tell you, these two totally rocked the session! They were a tad nervous at first, but soon they were all smiles and ready to strike a pose. We ended the day on a high note with some sweet pics by the lake, gazing at the city skyline.

High School Crush Blossoms into Eternal Love

Gwen and Sam go way back to their high school days. They both ended up in the same band and physics classes, and that’s where the sparks first flew. Sam scored himself a prom date by asking Gwen with a massive cookie and a bunch of roses!!
Gwen and Sam had known they wanted to get married for a while, and when they decided the stars had aligned, they designed Gwen’s engagement ring together. Gwen’s ring has this super cool blue hue that only shows up when you look at it from a certain angle. It turned out to be an incredibly meaningful experience for both of them.
They then had a lot of fun surprising both of their families with the engagement on Christmas Eve – which included an unexpected 8-hour drive when their flight got canceled!

Engagement photos capture that special connection between a couple, and Gwen and Sam’s session at Lincoln Park was a wonderful glimpse into their chemistry. It was their chance to get comfy in front of the camera and freeze this beautiful chapter in their love story in gorgeous pictures.
As the golden hour kissed the city, we ventured to the shore, where the vast expanse of Lake Michigan provided a breathtaking backdrop. The sun was doing its thing, setting all peacefully, and the city lights were just starting to twinkle as the day turned into night.
