One of the amazing parts about my job is being able to capture couples at such a special time in their lives. I love meeting so many different people and hearing their stories. The story of how I got connected to Emily and Matt is one for the books! Emily and Matt found my services through a news segment that you can watch here. When they saw the shoot that I had done for a previous couple, they immediately booked me – 18 months in advance! I love getting to work with couples to create beautiful photos that they will love forever. Our Lincoln Park engagement session will give them photos to last a lifetime.

Five and a half years ago, Emily and Matt were introduced to one another through mutual friends at Eastern Illinois University. They headed to a local restaurant in their small town and really hit it off! This couple truly loves one another. Matt described Emily as “everything he could have asked for” because of her confidence, humor, and how she pushes him to try new things. Emily loves how Matt is her support system in all situations and shows his giant heart to all. Throughout our session, I could see how they trusted one another completely and are absolutely perfect for one another!

We set off to Lincoln Park so I could capture this beautiful couple. It was a gorgeous setting and even got to capture some photos in the golden hour. One of our spots was “The Honeycomb”, an architectural arch that was the very spot Matt proposed. It was the perfect backdrop to capture the full circle from proposal to an engagement shoot.

Emily and Matt are getting married in October of next year. They are now getting ready to plan their wedding and prepare to start this new chapter together. I wish them all the best and cannot wait to see where life will take them. This couple was a joy to work with and I am so grateful I got to photograph their engagement session at the beautiful Lincoln Park.
