Carmina and Erick are a truly incredible couple that I have had such a pleasure working with. Their Patrick Haley Mansion wedding was one that I don’t think I could ever forget. From hoping that the weather will hold off, to the Mariachi band, to the historic location, this wedding had so many elements that made it an event to remember.

The couple met at college but did not actually get to know one another until they were reunited on a cruise ship to the Caribbean. Their personalities really do suit one another. Erick is such a sweet guy who can make Carmina laugh even when she doesn’t feel like it. He brings so much joy to the relationship. Carmina is such a kind person and has always stuck by Erick’s side. It was an honor to capture their special relationship.

We started off the day with Erick and Carmina getting ready at the mansion but on separate floors. The couple had opted for a first look and to get the pictures in before the ceremony so that they could be present with their guests at the cocktail hour and reception. This just showed how much they valued their guests! A rainbow graced us during the first look which became a perfect backdrop to a special moment.

The weather became difficult to predict as the day went on but the decision was made to have the ceremony outside and it was the right decision!

An Outdoor Wedding Ceremony at Haley Mansion

The moment arrived. Pictures had been shot with bridal parties and family and it was time to capture the ceremony. I was nervous about the weather but the ceremony started 10 minutes early to ensure that they would get through without the rain! A string trio played as the wedding party walked down the aisle at the pergola outside Haley Mansion. It was a beautiful moment. The weather held off until just after the kiss and then it began to rain! Talk about perfect timing.

The Haley Mansion was a beautiful location to be at. Designed by the famous architect, Frank Allen, this 1893 mansion is the backdrop to many weddings and I definitely know why. The intricate detail in the mansion itself but also in the outdoor gardens makes this a dream wedding location and perfect for Carmina and Erick who wanted their fairytale wedding.

The couple danced the night away with the mariachi band and had a wonderful celebration. I am so thankful I got to capture this moment and give them all my blessings as they start their new life together.
