Spring has been slow to bloom here in the Windy City, but the sun decided to make a rare appearance just in time for Emily and Mike’s elegant nuptials and reception! The crisp breeze and peek-a-boo sunshine made for stunning pictures, despite still feeling like a winter day for these Dallas natives.

We started the day with Emily and her bridesmaids getting ready at Hyatt Rosemont, while Mike and his groomsmen shared a toast and some laughs at his parents’ house. The real magic began with the first look, where I was immediately blown away by the deep connection these two shares! Brimming with excitement and joy, I knew right away Emily and Mike are the real deal – THIS is the type of love I live to capture on camera. The wedding party hopped on the party bus and headed over to St. Benedict Catholic Church in Chicago for the ceremony. We took advantage of their first hour as man and wife to capture some fun, romantic shots throughout Downtown Chicago. The reception was held at Fountain Blue Banquets. Everyone had a blast!

And Emily and Mike were in the thick of it all, impressing the crowd with their stellar dance moves, playful sense of humor, and obvious gratitude for one another and everyone who came out for their special day. I could keep writing, but the photos from their wedding say far more than I ever could about the love between Emily and Mike. You two, I am so happy for you!
