Julia and David’s Fall Wedding at the Morton Arboretum

When I think of the perfect fall wedding, Julia and David’s day at the Morton Arboretum immediately comes to mind. The golden leaves, the crisp air, and the soft afternoon light created the most magical atmosphere for their special day.
These two lovebirds are not only incredibly sweet but also hilarious! Their playful banter kept everyone smiling all day long. One of my favorite moments was their private vow reading before the ceremony. It was such a tender and intimate moment that brought tears to David’s eyes and set the tone for the rest of the day.
We explored the grounds for photos, stopping at The Gerard T. Donnelly Grand Garden and a few other scenic spots. Each turn brought another breathtaking backdrop, and the fall colors at the Morton Arboretum made their wedding photography even more enchanting.

A Heartfelt Wedding Ceremony at Ginkgo Room

The wedding ceremony took place in the Ginkgo Room at The Morton Arboretum, with warm, cozy views over peaceful Meadow Lake. Julia and David added simple, elegant decor that brought a little of the outdoors inside. One of my favorite moments was during the vows when David’s twin sister, who officiated, snuck in a playful joke. Since Julia and David root for rival football teams, she had David promise to watch Patriots games with Julia, and Julia to cheer along for Bears games! It was such a personal, lighthearted touch that had everyone laughing.

Candlelit Wedding Reception at Morton Arboretum

From their custom-made cake topper of their beloved dog, Alfie, to the display of their engagement photos in a sign-in album at the reception, Julia and David poured their hearts into every detail. They were blown away when they sneaked a peek inside the Ginkgo Room before their wedding reception. The candlelit ambiance, a touch they’d carefully planned, transformed the space into a warm and inviting setting.

What Do You Love Most About Each Other?

These two met online a few years ago, and it’s clear they were meant to be. When I asked them how they knew they’d found their forever love, they shared the sweetest answers:
Julia: “It was evident that David was a special soul, someone who completed me, who comforted me, and grounded me, and someone who I would want to spend the rest of my life with.”
David: “Julia brings me out of my shell, pushes me to be the best person I can be, and completes me as a person. I cannot wait for Julia to be my wife!”

Julia and David, it was an honor to capture your beautiful wedding! Wishing you a lifetime of love and laughter as you embark on your honeymoon in St. Lucia. Cheers!
