Julia and David’s joyful and exciting engagement session in Lincoln Park was a whirlwind of fun. Though they were initially nervous, they quickly overcame their jitters and showed off their natural photogenic flair.
From the very first inquiry, I had a feeling that Julia and David were something extraordinary. They’re the kind of sweet and down-to-earth couple you instantly connect with. Chatting with them during the session and getting to know them better was a delight.
A Hinge Match Like No Other
Their journey began in October 2020 when they connected on Hinge. After six weeks of constant texting, they finally decided to meet for drinks and dinner. To their surprise, the night before they were to meet, they realized that “Thursday night” was New Year’s Eve! Since neither had New Year’s Eve plans, they met at The Smith in River North for drinks and dinner and walked all over downtown Chicago, celebrating the New Year together. Their connection was undeniable.
Julia and David moved in together last year and welcomed a Goldendoodle pup, Alfie, into their lives. Their bond was so strong that they even went ring shopping together.
David’s plan to propose was set for another date, but it happened earlier, taking Julia by complete surprise. After a lovely date night in the city, they returned to their apartment, which had been secretly decorated by David’s family. There, he popped the question, and with tears of joy, Julia enthusiastically said “Yes!” twice. David was so emotional and overwhelmed with happiness that he couldn’t recall if she had actually said “Yes!” the first time.
They were ready to celebrate on their upcoming trip to Marco Island, Florida, which had unexpectedly turned into an engagement celebration.

Julia and David won me over with their infectious energy and warmth the moment we met. I clicked with them instantly and our engagement session in Lincoln Park was effortless and fun.
